Endless Mode Odyssey: My Journey to Mewtwo and Game Feedback

Greetings, gaming friends! As I blaze through the endless mode, currently surpassing wave 2300+, I’ve been fully immersed in my quest to capture Mewtwo. I’ve gathered my thoughts on the game—what I love, what could use improvement, and suggestions for enhancing the experience.

A Truly Addictive Experience Pokerogue and Pokerogue Dex

To put it simply, endless mode is addictively fun! The gameplay loop allows for quick sessions or extended play without feeling monotonous—an essential factor in keeping players engaged. Each Pokémon can learn unique moves, enhancing the typical gameplay and providing strategies that aren’t available in the standard versions.

Additionally, the addition of shiny variants is a joy. It creates excitement beyond merely progressing through waves; it ignites hope with each new encounter. I also have a soft spot for the big numbers—seeing my damage and levels soar is thrilling!

Room for Improvement

Nevertheless, the endless mode isn’t without its frustrations. The enemy damage reduction and damage tokens need some serious attention. It seems unfair to be over 30,000 levels higher than an enemy only to be one-shotted by them. A solution could involve capping the effect of damage tokens or introducing diminishing returns on subsequent tokens to ensure a level playing field.

Moreover, there should be a greater variety of items within each tier, especially the rogue and master tiers. Once stocked, these items can feel irrelevant, so more options would help maintain their significance throughout gameplay.

Fostering Team Dynamics

Currently, the most effective strategy often revolves around a single “carry” Pokémon, limiting team diversity. A potential solution would be introducing an item that allows players to elevate their selected Pokémon’s level to match their highest Pokémon. This change would encourage a more diverse team while keeping the balance intact.

Furthermore, having the ability to choose specifically which legendary Pokémon to target in the gacha system would remove the frustration of waiting for the one you desire—there are too many to sift through.

In summary, I’m having an incredible time with this game. It rivals some of the best ROM hacks and fan-made games I’ve played, and I’m eagerly anticipating catching Mewtwo! I urge the developers to consider my suggestions to elevate an already noteworthy experience.
